Hi, I’m Emily González. I’m Ecuadorian/Colombian (and from a very big family… like 75 people big), born and raised in Quito.
I’ve been creative my whole life. Ballet, photography, music, design… if it involved making something, I was there. In 2020 I moved to the U.S. to study Graphic and Web Design, my school closed (long story), and somehow that led me exactly where I needed to be, studying Art Direction at Miami Ad School. I love it.
I like ideas that feel bold, fun, and a little disruptive, but always rooted in real life.
I asked my friends how they would describe me, and this is pretty much what they said:
I keep a Christmas tree up all year and decorate it with random things from my life. hats, glasses, little memories. I’m obsessed with reggaeton. I will confidently say I have one of the best old school playlists, but I also listen to literally everything. I’ve watched Big Momma’s House an unhealthy number of times with my sister. I love Fast and Furious, at least until movie number 5, no debate, and Mamma Mia is part of my personality at this point.
I have a tiny dachshund named Nalu who thinks she’s a big dog, acts like a brat sometimes, but somehow everyone is still obsessed with her.
I love Diet Coke (it matters). One time I ate mazamorra for breakfast, which, yes, my family judged me for.
Right now I’m just learning, exploring, and making things I’m proud of.
But one day, I’m definitely doing something big.
